1. 取消無用的服務

chkconfig mcstrans off
chkconfig netfs off
chkconfig ip6tables off
chkconfig haldaemon off
chkconfig messagebus off
chkconfig lvm2-monitor off

haldaemon 及 messagebus 如果有要使用 plug & play device，記得要打開。

vi /etc/inittab

# Run gettys in standard runlevels
1:2345:respawn:/sbin/mingetty tty1
2:2345:respawn:/sbin/mingetty tty2
#3:2345:respawn:/sbin/mingetty tty3
#4:2345:respawn:/sbin/mingetty tty4
#5:2345:respawn:/sbin/mingetty tty5
#6:2345:respawn:/sbin/mingetty tty6

不需要那麼多個終端。

2. 更新系統

yum update
如果有舊的kernel則移除舊的kernel
cd /boot
看套件有沒有把舊核心映像檔移除，沒有的話可手動移除
vi /grub/menu.lst
看grub 的設定有沒有問題。
